And congratulations on victory! 
I had the honor of meeting a number of conservatives out in the Edmonton area last summer, and they are probably dancing in the streets, winter or not. I also made a point of congratulating your fellow Canadian, Bud Oracle; he's probably singing the blues since the election. 
Total agreement re President Bush and border security. However, no offense meant, but we potentially have a much bigger problem with the much longer and much less secure border with Canada.

As a 'rejoicing' Canadian, I agree with you completely, WriterofLight! It's immensely satisfying to see the Liberals turfed out, and for the first time in a long time I feel much more optimistic about our prospects. I am also convinced that Harper will have a far better relationship with Bush than did Martin. Looking at the US, one thing troubles troubles me, though, namely that the Bush administration as done virtually nothing to deal with the problems at your southern border. Anyway, keep up the good work. I enjoy your posts!
