Fun story! I would have been sooooo angry, if after fighting that fish for over two hours, it smirked at me and bit off the line!!!! ack!!!!!

Boy, did I enjoy this, and a great photo, too! Well-written from top to bottom. A great fight between you and the fish. One aspect I appreciated the most was the way you formed a connection with your opponent and developed a kind of respect for him. You were linked by more than a fishing line, I would say. A happy ending for the fish and a memorable day for you, Nanaroo. I'm glad you're posting these.

That is a beautiful dolphin...I had a friend who caught a 35 pound dolphin on a 12 test. Good stuff!!

I loved your story and a great lesson; sort of like the old man and the sea but Hemingway hadn't laid eyes on YOU....mmmmm, I can just imagine.......... terrific catch and glad the tuna got away; he was a fighter!
