You seem to have very deep understanding of African democracies and their short comings. Hence in my last article on Trade on the continent, I advocated external help, especially from Western countries for genuine democracy on the continent. In your comment you stroke the point. What hinders africa's development is underinvestment from rich nations in things like industry. However there a lot of monies has been thrown into the bottomless pit called Africa, but it was to prop up dictators. I think it is high time as Bush said, that investment in Africa should be conditioned to real democracy. On the other hand, some investors do not want to invest in Africa because the continent though vast, it is under populated. Thank you very much for reading. God Bless.
