I enjoyed this... read like a short story... I've been fortunate to have had connections with a few good religious men and women.   Unfortunately, those that afflict us scar us for life and totally turn us off from experiencing anything positive.  Per chance, did you come across any  sincere, devout priest or nun during those years? 

By the way, I once tried rabbit fricassee in disguise...I was told by the host it was duck l'orange.  Frankly, I didn't care for it...too slimy.   Don't hold a grudge, ok?

Gubby - I don't think that I have ever deleted anyone's comment

....It is just that lately the fundies have nothing to say to me. Many have blocked me and I view that as a quit while I am ahead scenario......

JanesOpinion -- I have to agree - - there is something

...........very sick, very sad and very wrong with being forced to go to church every day. It wasted approximately 2,920 hours of my life over 8 years. I missed some very good hunting and fishing hours during that period. Now that is sick.
