Hi Fiona
Yes, I'd heard something a long time ago how people who are drowning and are pulled out have often reported how at first they didn't believe the drowning was real as during the asphyixiation their minds had taken them elsewhere, sort of dumbing down what was happening. Don't know if it is true, but thought I'd use that as a counterpoint to the reality.
