FW, it seems to me that if I were out of work like you seem to think most of us are, a minimum wage job would be much preferred to being out of work entirely! (Where's the Emotocon for "touche'"?)

In the words of David Letterman ... I don't believe you!
To say that benefits are growing while large pensions are no longer being funded major corporations flies in the face of reality. The reason unemployment numbers go down is because people who quit looking for work are taking off the unemployed rolls. As far as job creation, who cares about an upswing in minimum wage service sector jobs?
