Writeroflight,
Lindsey Graham?? Surely you jest!!! That meely mouthed shell of a man has a few "Niggers go home" in his background!!! Please! You people had better continue to pretend you love us! Because you start your Jim Crow shit again as you have re-started  Colonialism, (invading Iraq) this place called "America the Beautiful" will go to Hell!

Thanks for reading!

Bud, interesting perspective. But look at our history a wee bit closer: Our laws were originally founded on what I gather you mean by "biblical code." And what have you to say about the suffering and death caused to babies by abortion?

Glenn, you are sadly right, this is where the process has been since Kennedy smeared Judge Bork. Hopefully this will be the end of it, but then that's asking a bit much. As far Alito and blacks, see today's posting about Lindsay Graham's assessment of his relations with blacks.

I-Am-Free, thanks for your service. Good explanation of the ad hominem attacks that have become the norm in juducial confirmations.

Welcome, Malcom!
Thanks for reading. Would that the congressional Democrats could grasp that.

Rudeness
is a sign of laziness, whatever the argument

Writer, did you catch what the attacks were about?

What sort of accusations were made?  Can you provide a brief synopsis if you have time?

Thanks!

I-Am-Free,
"An Attack is a Cry For Help"??? That quote places the Bush crowd in an insane asylam! They have been "attacking" anything that appears sane for five years now! Stop it!!!

I know things like this should not happen, but
Mrs. Alito has to brace herself for things like this. She should have known this was going to come. She composed herself quickly and she will be fine.

An attack is a cry for help!

An attack is a cry for help, so the people that are doing this are in a lot of pain. When we are attacked sometimes are natural instinct is to attack back. From this we get no where. Our other instinct is to defend our selves, this my not always serve our highest good. If you are coming from Truth and you have the Truth on your side sometimes your silence will set the other person off into a self-destruct mode.

Writeroflight,
This is where the process is buddy! You don't like it on your foot do you! If it is so offensive to Mr. Alito! Why not withdraw himself from the process! No! He is as "pompous" as the rest of the bunch! Stop feeling as if you are in the mix, he would not stop to pee on you if you were on fire either! I bet he has spit on a few American Negroes though!

You are right, being rude is not productive................................
Sometimes one act calls forth another, though. The left would probably say that it is really rude to insert your biblical code into the laws of the land. They will cause suffering and death to thousands of women who chose to have illegal abortions. That can cause people to become rude.  Although the Senator proves his worth to be low when all he can do is spit in the wind and call people derogatory names..
