But those in power should not have that same responsibility? Bush went to war over bad information. Even if you believe that he believed the B.S. of WMDs from the beginning, he still acted on poor information. He obviously was not well informed enough before he went ahead and took us to war, a choice that has costed thousands of lives and is hurting this country on so many levels.
I trust celebrities more than I do politicians. So far it has been proven to me that the politicians do not really care about what is best for this country and the people in it. The politicians often know the right thing to do, but that is not going to help them or make them richer so they do the wrong thing. In this day and age the information really is right out there in the open for all to find. Most of the time from what I have seen the celebrities actually are much more on the ball about what is needed than the politicians are.

I agree. There seems to be a lot of people out there who are afraid of the freedom of speech and will look for any reason they can find to make ti look bad that they speak their minds.

Celebrities owe it to the world to be informed if they choose to speak out
because unlike most of us, they can sway a lot of opinions. WHich is a sad commentary because journalists and politicians probably lack the power of a celebrity. Thank god for Micheal Savage.
