MayB
As I recently received an ipod for Christmas (which I will be blogging about myself in the next couple of weeks, dangya), I'm probably really going to enjoy reading your next few posts.
Very smooth piece of writing here, by the way, Mayb. I wonder if maybe it was because I could relate to it so well. Moving forward.

Trevor Cunnington, I researched that when I bought mine
The usefulness of the mike justified the extravagance

I have the mini...
Someone told me that it doesn't record with a mic the way the regular one does, which sucks, because I might have a biography book contract, and I need to be able to record things!

Great post MayB, honoured to be your inspiration...
Still not sure I would ever record my own but I might start downloading soon.
Although I'm waiting to be converted by your next posts!

tbgroucho, interesting. I think you will relate to upcoming posts
I think I am best suited for broadcasting too - oh hang on - I don't have a good voice for radio either.

I'm looking into learning how to create podcasts myself -- I'm told i have a face for radio, so it makes sense!

It is not nearly as mysterious as people make it out to be. I can tell that your desire for an MP3 is strong

Staggering genius, the name podcasting is a misnomer

Blogging
has been called the "next big thing." But I don't think podcasting will threaten blogs just yet. Price is a factor. That $300 iPod is just far enough out of people's price range to keep podcasting out of the mainstream.

Mayb,
Now this is news I hope I can use! I've been lusting after an MP3 player for ages, but haven't really seen or played with one. Technology never ceases to amaze at the versatiltity.
