Thank you!

I lost my trust in the competence of the news media years ago when a reporter in California claimed trains slip off the tracks in the rain, and another asked a geologist how many unknown earthquake faults there are.

By the way: The lamestreamers are blaming mine officials for reporting the bad information. As if the mine officials were relaying breathless pronouncements around the world.

Excellent post!  One of the best I've read on Bloggit.  You are totally correct in your analysis of the news media.  That particular story was so sad and so poorly handled by the news media that they should be shut down because of their disgraceful incompitence.  The mainstream news media has only a short time left in its existence.  More and more people are seeing through their incompitence and lazy journalism, that in another five years or so mainstream news will become defunct!
