Ok, now try something really weird...
No, not voting for Ross Perot, too late for that. Try the hat thing with a soggy bowl of ceral, not only is the milk good for the hair, the whole thing is a great birth control device. No is going to touch a guy with a soggy bowl of ceral on his head!

We used to have these "TELL ME WHY " books that gave explanations to some
of these questions that people asked.
I just realise that with blogging one has stopped looking into books for answers.

I think the hat's off effect
is due to the constraining effect of hats upon your hair. They shape it, so when you take the hat off, the hair (which is attached to nerve endings) tend to stay in the shape of the hat, creating the illusory feeling that you're still wearing a hat. Actually I'm making it all up. lol.

Happy ' 06 CL!
I almost never eat cereal, but I did have an unpleasant experience with the soggy stuff over the holidays...My boyfriend's thirteen-year-old son's vile choice of breakfast food. It was some multi-colored, preservative-filled garbage with all the nutritional value of a pair of underwear, sprinkled with sugar. Blah!
The hat thing reminds me of a three-year-old I knew once. He was conceived on a sail boat, and it was on a sailboat that he took his first steps. Toddling all over a boat was no problem. The kid was a pro. Dry land however, was a challenge. I never saw him take more than three or four steps on land without falling on his tushy. Reverse sea leg's I guess!

CL and Mel
I often can't eat my own soggy cereal, actually. Frosted Flakes is one of the few cereals I like and they get soggy waaaay too fast ...it's a real problem.....luckily, GrapeNuts is the another cereal I like, and they don't. But, cereally, folks...... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!! I have missed you two sooooooooooooo much. I am working like a field hand....dawn to dusk.....eat and go to sleep....that's my life......sob. I'm so behind. But, I think about you and check on here occasionally and just never see y'all...... Hope this is just an incredibly blessed year for you and that most of the stuff that happens is stuff you wanted to or are just incredibly happy when it does! Love you!

I wouldn't eat anything left sitting around by someone else, but I only eat soggy cereal actually. I'm a freak....I don't wear hats very often but I've noticed that strange phenomenon the few times I have!

Or skating...

Cunning...
If I were to stumble upon someone's half eaten soggy cereal I don't think it would be the sogginess as the Yuck factor, it would be the backwash in the milk!

Sometimes, I like soggy cereal. It saves my jaw from chewing exercise.
Our nerve endings retain the last lingering sensation for a short while. That's why we feel the enclosure of the hat even when it is no longer worn.
