Krisles,
You just reminded me to put some music on, all I hear right now is rain, "like a cow pissing on a flat rock" as M says they say in Kansas, and I can picture that. Anyway, would you believe that the one album that gets me moving now is "Johnny Cash: The Legend", there's a track I've never heard, I heard in the movie, Walk the LIne, "Get Rhythm When You Get The Blues", I love that driving guitar beat, and JC's bass voice.
What a great memory this is! To have that, all the little girl dreams and innocent longing for an idol, I remember Sandy Duncan did lose an eye to some form of cnacer, I believe.
RYN: We've got both books you recommended, now I've actually got to read them, and DOOO them, like you said, there's a deep passion in me to write music, songs, because I've got this voice (don't get me wrong, it's not like a schizophrenic type voice), but an urging, like it's comging from God, telling me I need to sing. There's something so powerful about music. Great post, you 've started me on a whole train of thought.

Krisles....A great read......And I remember Sandy Duncan...
Wow, cool story and what a small world we live in...You took us all back to that porch and that tree and your little dance performances, and described it all so warmly. You are indeed a dancer and express yourself so beautifully in many ways.

Sonja Henie was an early idol......I was so disappointed the first time I put on ice skates and didn't just glide across the surface like a bird. I still think that would be the ultimate....blending my love of dance and dreams of flight!

Krisles, you are probably too young to remember, but I just loved my Sonja Henie paperdolls and just knew that would be the most wonderful thing to do. But, my parents had other ideas. LOL

I remember about your pole from before! I'd love to be able to do that....but with my knees, can't even imagine it!! Your husband is a lucky man! I think that would be so much fun and must feel sooooo wonderful to be able to do. I have a center post in my main room at the lake post, and I dance with it a lot -- talk about your wooden partners!!! Happy New Year, dear friend.

Great to see you! I remember you said your little girl studied pointe.....I'm so glad you enjoy her dancing with her. Take lots of photos .....she may be twirling across a stage someday. Believe me, you'll always see her twirling around....something about dancing is so very in the bones.... Happy New Year!

I love music too...
There are certain songs that I listen to that the sound waves go thru my soul and act like ointment or a salve to heal it or bring it comfort.

I think I missed this first time around so I am glad that
you took it for another twirl. It popped up on my favorites. I watch my little girl - she dances everywhere

...i recognized this as i was reading. thought to myself "shes hooked me with this story before". I enjoyed it enough to remember it. I took the pole out of the strip club and brought the erotic dancing home to my living room, where i could turn myself over to the music and any audience that was in attendence was at my invitation :-)

It is a pleasure to read the words of someone who knows who they are. You are a dancer.
