Nostradamus "predicted" the past!
An interesting page you have here!... It's a fact that a lot of the quatrains attributed to Nostradamus were not written by him and it were not predictions either, but coded messages! Check it out at my True Treasure Hunts Blogit!

I very openly admit I am a skeptic. I have seen a lot in life, but have yet to see anything that makes me believe there are supernatural powers out there.
Yet I have had a habit of being friends with those who do believe in such things, but I do not judge them by their beliefs. And most know I do not believe in it all. But we still get along. Actually I think right now most of my friends believe in horoscopes and such. Several people I have over weekly used to work at a physic hotline. We get along great, we just do not share beliefs about such things.
So, no I do not believe in fairies my dear.

If you know a real psychic who can predict the future, then you might want to direct them here. I know if I had psychic powers or knew someone who did, I would very much tell them to go after the million dollars. Personally I very much do not believe in such bunk, but I ma away that there are those who do. I have a real good friend who claims to be an empath, but he really is just good at listening to people. I have yet to see nay true signs that anyone, anywhere has supernatural abilities.

Kooka_lives - I clipped this from a website
"..... it is the duty of the biblical prophecy scholar to take any global occurrence he can and make it fit as proof of the "fulfillment of prophecy," thus proving to himself and others that their "religion" and "holy scriptures" are accurate, correct and infallible. If believers are able to convince themselves that something has been "predicted" by their "sacred book," they can confirm that they hold the correct belief system, as opposed to their neighbors, who may not be of the same faith. Whenever such an event has been interpreted to conform to the "prophecies" found in so-called sacred scriptures, it proves to the believers and fanatics that their way is the only right one. Thus, it behooves these fanatics and proselytizers to interpret the world's affairs to agree with any perceived prognostication they may be able to find within their chosen book of faith."
Then there are those who adopt a specific biblical role because they believe themselves contributors to the grand scheme; such as Hitler when he began deporting Jews to Palestine, or when Saddam Hussein declared himself to be King Nebuchadnezzar engaged in a battle (first Gulf War) leading to the end times. Neither of these two figures were Christian religion adherants but both picked up on specific bible passages to suit their particular ambitions. Now we have a US president that is born again, a fully committed adherant to a religion that has within it a doomsday scenario. He is also the commander in chief of the world's largest nuclear arsenal........

Kooka...
I respectfully disagree with some part. There are some people that are truly psychic and it is usually not the famous and wealthy people. This is a sixth sense that is developed in some people. Now as for "seeing the future" all a psychic can did is see the probability of a situation. The persons involved have free will to change the situation and that is why sometimes true psychics will be wrong. Don't get me wrong there are way too many wack jobs out there that are as phoney as a a two dollar bill. AS for Nostradamus, most of his stuff is a matter of interpretation and anyone can make out of his quatrains whatever suits their purpose. Plus he is so "doom and gloom". I'd rather focus on living a positive life. Great post, as usual. Happy Holidays.

This is how so-called psychics work too
make predications so vague they could always be interpreted as correct

Reminds me of the line from the old Simon and Garfunkel song.
A man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest.
