Thank you very much for your nice comments. The US and some western countries have always helped africa. One notable example is the great contribution that the US   and particularly this administration under Mr.Bush has  done to bring peace in Southern Sudan and in Liberia. Nevertheless, a lot still remain to be done. One will be to focus on improving Human rights and implimentation of Democracy in Africa. Sadly, while America and Britain are trying, there are some western countries, especially Europeans who are spanners into the works. On this, thank you very much for reading and God Bless.

Thanks for the comment Sly,
I think very few of the politicians in our country have morals. So I am not going to condemn Bush on that score, but then I am not going to say much about any of the other guys either. I think elections here are the best way for us to determine which side has the best ideas and are winning. That seems to be the domain of the Republicans at this point. I think the media and many liberals try to paint Bush and the Republicans as something they are not. The people of the country are not being fooled. They vote the way they do because they believe in what they vote for and they vote for candidates that most closely share that belief. Could we have better candidates? You bet! Is it going to happen? No time soon!! Thanks for the read and comment.

If Bush had a sense of morality about him it would help.
But that is beyond his grasp.

That is true jollyjeff,
but unfortunately that is the way our system works. Very few persons are going to subject themselves to the scrutiny of try to get elected to any office.

Elections decide the best politicians
not the best leaders.

Thanks for the comment ms bradrock
I am typically a very conservative person who has some liberal bones in his body (I like unions and have some views on certain subjects that are not conservative). I just wish both sides would not play politics all the time and get down to some serious discussion about some things. We do hold elections and the Republicans are winning most of them. So I have to think what the President and the Republican leaders are putting forth is winning the battle right now. Thanks for the read.

Others will disagree,
but in a democratic society...I think not!
