from your sister......
You know what they say about having a twin out there? I, too, am a procrastinator, only reinforced by getting high marks when working under pressure. I wrote most of my master's thesis in two weeks, including the Stats and analysis. I thought I had until October and when I inquired was informed that, nooooo, I had two weeks for final copy to be turned in!!!!! (This was in 1985 and thank God we had an Apple IIc). Luckily I had easy rewrites and with a computer versus a typewriter, it made all the difference. I had two kids, ages 5 and 2 who saw their mommy UP and on COFFEE for two weeks. Luckily they had a very helpful Daddy. I'd done this all my life, even with typewriters (pre-word processors). For me, "under pressure" brings out the best in me (oops, I know that's not mainstream, but then I'm not either!)

Nanaroo,
I'm procrastinating right now, I have paperwork to do, but no! Why? I need to work up a good full head of steam, anxiety and general cussedness!

Procrastination is an indication of rebeliousness.......................
Only those who disobey the advice of teachers, of good little slaves will risk everything in an effort to assert their last minute spontaneity. Yes, especially if it looks fishy on the face of it, anything is worth examining.

I'm a procrastinator but I don't really know why I do it. I guess I just hope the things I don't want to do will go away.
