History of low carb. . .
Very interesting. It was very popular in the early 1960s, often called "The Drinking Man's Diet" or "The Air Force Diet." It certainly helped me lose weight. It was pretty simple: Keep the carbs to 60-65 per day. Not sure if it would work now (I have type II Diabetes), but nothing else is working either. Hang in there. You are a welcome inspiration.

I am currently on a low carb diet, myself, and doing it under a doctor's care. I have low thyroid and am on medication for that. I exercise and follow all of his advice. It is slow weight loss but at least I am losing. He said it is going to be very slow because of the low thyroid but to keep it up and keep up the exercise and it WILL come off. Thanks for your words and research.
