Exactly.  He's starting to have the feeling that someone is out there.  I'm excited, because it's time. :)  I'm glad you liked it.

Very fine - and oh, so true to many a man.

The questions that burn men's souls when a hint of change rips through their lives. A different kiss from the woman he had loved for years. When loving glances perish, replaced by indifferent eyes. Wanting voice succumbs to routine conversation and touch, itself, is like meeting a stranger in the dark.

So much power in your words, Temple! Very good.

For now, darling.  Only for now.  In mere months he shall worship at the temple.

I haven't actually read Wuthering Heights, which is shameful considering I have an English minor.  I know it's reputation, so a hardy "thank you!" is in order.  And I appreciate the read.

Maturity....hmmmm, that means when I wasn't looking I grew up a little bit.   Shocker!  Elegance is one of my favorite words.  Thank you.  Hope you are well.

I believe we have more than one kind, and one kind of, soulmate.  I think I've had soulmates that I've known from other lives, people that I've known for eternities, people that were here to bring me lessons.  They all serve some higher purpose in my life....some for a day, some forever.  I think people sometimes get lucky and marry a soulmate, but sometimes we have one great love of our lives and they teach us something grand, something special.  The love of my life taught me how to love.  He was truly a soulmate.  But not the One.  The one is the man I will finally be able to be best friends with forever, let my walls down with, love all the days of the rest of my life.  I've not found him yet.  Is he the soulmate?  I don't know.  I know Spitfire and I are soulmates.  We fight because we're too much alike, but we love each other like sisters and can't leave each other for anything.  I think when I finally marry, the time and circumstance will set me up with a soulmate.  I can't leave Spiffy, I'd be lost.  I'll be lost without my future husband, too.  But, I believe in many previous lives, many lessons to learn, and my soul has recognized many others.  It's different for all of us, I think.  But I do believe our soul's do have much to say in the matter.

This is a topic for me that
I've always had mixed feelings on until recently.  When my mom and dad seperated, I kept telling my mom that maybe life was about many different special relationships and not just one soul mate.  She insisted that there were soul mates, and she was lost without my dad.  Now they are getting back together, and I think maybe she's right.  Even when she angry at my dad(with good reason), she still believed in soul mates.  I thought I had met my soul mate once, and thought that we weren't going to be together in this life. Now, maybe I was wrong, but it was a strong and instant connection, a connection without doubt.  Then, I met Emil, and I wondered maybe he was meant for me in this lifetime, but was he my soul mate? Now, I know I love him, and I feel like he was meant for me, but is he my soul mate, and does it really matter? Confusing.   Either way, I am lucky and I hope you find everything you're looking for in 2006.

Poem: The One
This is an elegant poem, tastefully crafted.  I enjoyed the segues between lines and the vivid imagery in the verse.  I could feel the sensitivity of the author throughout the poem.  Lovely effort full of wistfulness and hope.
