- Go to #1 in Religion and Spirituality category again, thanx to my adversaries
Gomedome,
That has been a time-tested blogging axiom: start a heated debate/slanging match and bloggers will flock to it, to see what the fuss is about. On the plus side, some of the sillier ones, like Limey's have just dried up and blown away.
Would that we could say the same for the inane debate over the greeting, "Merry Christmas". I believe you said in your other blog, my feelings exactly, whatever we believe, the issues are much deeper than whether Walmart greeters say "Happy Holidays". or not. No one is forcing them to, they are a profit-driven enterprise who wish to not offend their non-Christian customers, but I for one, would rather they paid their workers a decent, liveable wage, gave them their lunches and breaks, as they are legally required to do, stop forcing them to work off the clock, and stop pretending they are the lowest-priced store in town. Well, anyway, that got a little long-winded, but again, Merry Christmas.

Cynical as ever, eh?
Merry Christmas to you, and happy #1 for as long as you have it. I disagree with you almost 100% of the time, but nonetheless enjoy reading what you have to say. Go figure.

jollyjeff - you could lie about the answers
Sure, when someone comes up with the right answer just tell them they have it wrong. But seriously, controversy gets a bit tired sometimes as well, one must be careful to "manage" the acrimony. In themselves and others.

RckyMtnActivist -- thank you but it won't last long
I've been here many times before and for different reasons. This time around it was a combination of a little bit of conflict earlier in the week and the "holiday void" or a slow period here on Blogit. In the past it has been for a variety of reasons, from having interesting posts (if I say so myself) to ruffling the most feathers. The current crop of active members plays a big part as well, sometimes this category is very active, while other times it is completely dead. It is a roller coaster ride.
