- Go to Bush’s Secret Spying Has a Surprising Precedent!
Trevor, thanks for the information. Still enlightening that Bubba participated, in light of current news.
Corbin, then let's keep repeating the truth.
Mystic, true to a point, but the difference in reponse to President Bush doing this compared to the silence about Bubba and Mr. Peanut does make who did it an issue, at least as far as Bush's attackers are concerned. You are spot on about the conservative view of government. However: Govenment powers do expand in certain areas, especially national security, in wartime. If you really believe that this is the same as a police state run by fascists, then you need to get some help for that paranoia, my friend.
Scoop, right on if the premise of the program's illegality is correct. But from what I came across today, it is completely legal.

It doesn't matter who did it they are all wrong, they broke the law
in my opinion. Just because others did it doesn't make it right.

Who created the mechanism is NOT the point ...
the point is this King feels he does not need judicial oversight, which is precisely why FISA was created. Back in the day, a conservative was one who believed in a government with limited authority. Maybe they still do. It's obvious fascists believe in the powers of a police state.

We can add this to the list of items that can be catagorized a double standard in nature........
But this type of information just falls on deaf ears among the jackels of the left.......they don't even care any longer that they get "outed".
Apparantly they believe that most Americans only absorb what is repeated the most...........

Echelon is not American.
It is an international intelligence agency. And they're bad, bad news.
