Oddly enough, JohnMcnab,
We, M and I, were wondering what it is about Spike tv and James Bond marathons at Christmas and Thanksgiving.  I wonder if it's cheap royalties?   Well, there are worse things your young grandson could be asking for, although the Miss Moneypenny and Pussy Galore are a little unnerving.

That's interesting, kingmi.  It is a talent I don't have, but then there are many of those.   All the best to you and yours over the holiday season.

johnMcnab, Very funny and interesting. I learned to speed read on those JB
books, what they now call skimming.  I don't care what they call it, it's a skill I use till this day, and it keeps me clicking.  Great Christmas to you and your sweet grandboy.

Tiel
You are quite right, of course, Tiel.  That's awesome that one of your grandparents was Rabbie Burns.  One of mine was Braveheart......or was it Bruce or Wallace?

Come on now, johnmcnab.  If your grandchildren were more doting during the rest of the year, you'd suspect them of setting you up for something REALLY expensive.  You'd be RIGHT!  So, they're just typical normal grandkids, I think, who look to you for stuff they can't get from their parents, and I'm pretty sure you know that already.   "That's what grandparents are for", I've always heard.  BTW  I am Scottish, too.  One of my ancestors was Robert Burns.

All settled back to normal now, word.  My wallet was defibrillated and seems to be back to its normal rythm - closed.

John,
Hope your heart and wallet have settled back in the right place.  It would pain anybody to have to buy back their own things.

Taps
It certainly went against my Scottish nature, Tapsel, and I noticed everybody else in church was laughing their ass off as well.  Merry Christmas, Tapsel

Darn it, strat.  My wallet was just recovering when it saw your comment and it is now back into  'having paroxysms' mode.  Thanks for the offer.

Thank you smartdog.  I suppose it makes sense that religion is at the forefront of most people's minds at this time of the year.  Take care and be well.

Dang.

I could have sent you a couple of paper backs, and not even given you apoplexy of the wallet!

Funny post, JM!

John
A wonderful short.  The trials and tribulations of acquiring gifts for the holidays are too often filled with religious example :).

Be well,
