littlemspickles,
Thanks.

Honyock was a fun cat.  I believe I'll see him again, and I'll enjoy all my others while they're with me.

God bless.

If I was that smart, I'd be a cat.

It just goes to show you cats are really smart!! However did they figure out how to get into the cupboard??? It's a cat's secret!!

Yep, Tiel
Nothin' like a cat to take advantage of a situation.  Really gotta admire the felines!

As I read your post that's exactly what I saw in my mind.  Those clever cats made a pyramid of themselves.  Oh, how clever!  I can see it all now!  And you!  Blogging is wearing you out to be able to sleep thru that and those perceptive cats knew you were gone to the world!

Thanks, Temple
Years ago, when I took Honyock to the vet to be neutered, the receptionist there thought maybe it was German for "little rascal".

I figure it's more likely Polish and you're right.

He was a unique cat.  I will never stop missing him as long as I'm on this earth.

You know, I'm sure she told me what it means...
But I don't remember exactly.  It's along the lines of silly goose or something like that.  I'll ask her when we talk next if I remember and I'll tell you. :)

Thanks, Temple
Mom had a cat named Scrapper, too. That's interesting.

Do you know what the word Honyock means? I've never known.

Honyock, I know that word! It's Polish...
...my step-Mom is Polish and calls my Dad that affectionately.  He sounded like a handful, and a darling.  I've found my cat, Petie, climbing the shelves in the linen closet with nothing but his nails...so you never know how kitties get in high up places.  I put childproof locks on the cabinet doors they try to get into, mostly because they were they high ones with all the dishes in them, or the ones with chemicals.  Any other ones I let them have, and every now and then you hear a ruckus from the bathroom as Petie tries to get into the cabinet under the sink with all my hair products and blow dryer and stuff like that.  Scrapper is 12 now, so she sticks to the closet and under the bed, not a big trouble maker anymore.  Petie has also been known to open the drawers in the kitchen and pull out all the bags I save from the grocery store and throw them all around the kitchen.  Scrapper loves the circles from the jugs of milk, but she doesn't mind if they are broken...she throws them all over the place.  The funniest thing the two are up to lately is pulling my socks out of the duffle they are in (I don't have a dresser yet).  I come in the bedroom and socks are everywhere.  I have yet to figure out why they do this, but it's funny.  I'm sorry you lost your little Honyock.  Cats are built not to show weakness, so sometimes when we know it's too late.  I understand how that feels.  But, I'm glad you have others to be with you. :)
