Xeno-x...the radical Evangelicals may be out to put the kabash on
resistance but the Secular Humanists end of the spectrum is out to take all reference to God out of our lives. Do you honestly believe the whak jobs represented by the small, but loud fringes of our society, will stop at anything less? When will they take In God We Trust off of our money? When will we have to rewrite the preamble to the Constitution? You are smart enough to know America was founded on a pillar of Christianity, (though not charismatic Christianity...that didn't happen until the 1830's). I personnaly believe we have the right to preserve the basic identity of our country so long as we allow others to practice the religions they adhere to. That doesn't mean caving to caving in to the voice screaming I'm a victim, I'm a victim everytime they see a reference to God.

What you have to realise is that far right of Christian politics is just the same as the far right of any religious political movement. They will defend their patch and their beliefs to the full. Being far right doesn't essentially mean racism, more often than not it means a strong urge to defend the nation. You can go to any country in the world and the plotics are very similar.
