Avant-Garde,

That seems like a natural shift, one reason why I have decided against an MSW is that we were told in the orientation, that we would need to "kiss and run" our significant others, no time for entertainment, alone time. I value my relationship with my boyfriend too much to want to jeopardize it, for school, which will have a dubious outcome anyway.

LOL, by riff-raff do you mean the hospital administrators?

Well, when I got into it, I was single and could devote a good bit of time to it. Now, my family is important and the demands are still there. I'm more compassionate now than ever before, but I'm so tired of the riff raff.

Avant,
I can certainly understand why, ermergency work must be exhausting. You seem like a natural teacher, maybe a segue in that direction?

Me, too. I'm thinking of ditching EMS and doing something completely different.

Avant-garde,
What is exhausting to me, is contemplating all the possible ripple effects, the butterfly syndromes, that could result from an action, at some point, I must simply take a leap of action (based on the faith, that whatever missteps I may make, or harm that may result, I sincrely did not intend).  Which brings up the law of unintended consequences....

You are quite right. It saddened me deeply to see the victimization that occurred from this event. However tragic, though, it did play an important role in helping the world to awaken.

Great thoughts.
Recognising that all that comes to us is a return from what has gone out of us is a monumental stage on the path of self-realization. It is also the end of excuses as we know them and the beginnings of responsibility and sincerity. I pray that those who have been abusing their power will begin to awaken to this. I think Sept. 11 was a great opportunity for America to realize that it was a return of something that their own government emitted, however it seems more like they said "How dare they do this to US!". So they keep it going, not realizing that their own ignorance had produced the fruit. We can only pray.

Lovely words
One of my favourite Genesis tracks is 'Ripples' on the 'Trick of the Tail' album.

There is no integrity within the dominant mainstream Media anymore, hence their readership is constantly dwindling. The irony is that, they wonder why. The Press in Cameroon is of no exception, since most handling the Press there got trained by those in the west who are mostly merchants of illusions and deceit. What is annoying is that, the Press in Cameroon is not helping to bring about change like other african countries such as Nigeria, Kenya or South africa. It is really a pity. However I do try to contribute my own quota by writing in papers that publish on line. Even though, I am aware that, the readership is limited. Above all, I will want to sincerely thank you for taking time out to read my posts regularly. It is a great support. God Bless.

post it...mine was similar too. I find that really interesting when bloggers, unbeknownst to each other, are singing a very similar song with their individual voice and  unique way of weaving words.

Your words (as usual) are a wonderful healing balm for my soul.  They were much needed after today's work.  Most especially enjoyed the image of everything that hits the water sends reverberations everywhere...great food for thought.  Thank you.
