Spitfire,
Quoting Rodney King's not such a bad thing, and it's profound, Why can't we all get along?  Pride, I think, is part of it, wanting to feel superior seems to be a basic human drive, we have to feel superior to other people to feel good about ourselves. That's a tough one, finding the right balance, instead of putting other people down to feel good about oneself, to work on simply loving ourselves, as imperfect as we are, is a big step, I think.

MsVision,
Thanks. I agree. I know it's sometimes easier said than done, but hell, it's worth more of an effort for all. Thanks for reading.

Spitfire...Hello, doll!

Very, VERY good thoughts!  Try as I might to be peaceful moment to moment or day to day, sometimes I fail simply, because others aren't playing on the same wave length!  I hope all is going well with you.  I haven't been on blogit much at all lately.  Busy, busy, busy.  I did, however, think of you the other day.  I hope I'm not running the Burger King guy into the ground BUT...there's a new commercial where his ginormous face appears in the window of a women (along the lines of King Kong and the movie promo).  She sees him in her window peeking and screams.  I thought of you and laughed my ass off wondering if you'd seen it yet!

Happy Holidays, my friend!  Hope all is well!

Chris is right.
Nonetheless, I wish you a very calm, quiet, peaceful holiday time, Young Miss. May all the explosions you experience be the results of numerous holiday zesty sessions, and not war, attrition, or a piece o crap car that needs work!

Why is it so hard to live in peace?
Because things would get really boring without any explosions.

Quite a powerful instructive message that could serve as code of conduct and new year resolution to us all. Well done and God Bless

Thanks, Lens! And, you're totally right...
There are many out there that have no idea how warped they are. It is scary. Especially when ya think you know someone!

Passion, I agree, but if it were only that easy.
Christmas/Hannukah/Kwanza, whatever...it would be so nice to have everyone be nice for more than just a few weeks out of a year, ya know? What's the harm? Is life really that bad for people? Maybe it is, but maybe, just maybe they will see the big picture. Giving means giving ALL year; whether monetarily or otherwise. And, we WILL ALL get back from the Universe of what we sent out. Regardless, it really shouldn't matter what we send out cause we should just do it because we feel we want to do it...as a good person in general. Have a great holiday, my friend!!

Spitfire

Same right back to you.  Good thoughts.

Minds have been warped by other warped minds...that's the problem with the world today.  Good things have been twisted and spoiled by them.  There are people out there who don't even realize they have warped minds.  That's the depressing part.  They wouldn't understand the wishes you're extending in your post.  Fortunately, I believe they're outnumbered.

It's a lofty dream, but a goal I wish we could attain. Humans are jacked up creatures, to be sure.  But some of us are alright!!

This is one reason I love the Bible and teachings of Jesus Christ...

The Bible teaches us to love one another, to forgive one another, to care about our neighbor. It also says that there's no law against love. You have to meditate on that one.

I could go on and on but I've seen so many people who claim to be Christians  but will beat the hell out of you if you don't agree with their philosophy.

I've found in my travels, that there are people in every religion and folks who don't claim any religion at all, who have discovered the importance of loving and caring about others. But mostly, the world is as you say...a sad state of affairs.

At least we have Christmas and for that one brief time of year, People make some effort to be nice to each other.

Spiffie,

Don't expect many comments.  I am having so many problems with Blogit software that it's almost unusable.  You wouldn't believe the tricks I am playing just to get this in.  The editors are all fucking up.  I wrote an email to tech support and they started asking about my computer.  The hell with that.  The problem could be mine, but I have fought with enough software problems to know that is unlikely.  Hope this goes through.

I like the idea in your post, but I fear I have given up on most hope for humanity.
You should look at my posts.  I put up some real stinkbombs.   jj
