kooka_lives - she was sick no doubt --- do you notice a trend?
Of those who have lambasted both you and I the most for holding an opposing viewpoint, the ones claiming to be the most devout are the biggest knuckleheads. A firm grip on reality seems to be absent, while they employ any underhanded tactic that comes into their minds to advance what they believe. Last week's episode with a person who has contended that all along they were advancing "good" and worthy ideals in humankind, is a perfect example. At the end of the day we have an adult acting like a spoiled insufferable child, while attacking the faults of others (real or imagined) and ignoring their own shortcomings. I thought that religion or a belief in God is supposed to hold an element of growth and self improvement?  I guess that growth isn't possible when you are too busy fixing other people's problems.

I never read that post.
I thought she was sick in the head, but I was not aware it was that bad.

kooka_lives - I remember when our favourite Pastor was here on Blogit
She posted what was basically a list of all of her relatives that were going to hell because they did not believe as she did. Including even her mother and with an attitude that "oh well, they had their chance to believe". You make a good point here that those who subscribe to the notion of eternal damnation have no answer for. Would the eternal bliss of heaven truly be eternal bliss if one knew that those they held dear were suffering eternally? ...ultimately, it is just another hole in the logic of an unworkable idea to which these people subscribe. The " sorry about your luck Christians".
