I just read what you wrote about the marketing of Blogit and I guess I never thought of it that way.

Lilane, Yes, the 'tricks of the trade' as you say. Some are better at it
than others. Some are very good at marketing their blogs. We all do this in different ways. Some aren't comfortable with certain ways of doing this and try to get attention in other ways, but it is all just marketing really. I have no problem with this really, I just try to do so using what I have written and use that as a heading that I hope attracts readers to the blog or story. And yes, I think we all are getting along fine. To each their own I say. Whatever works for you. -Cent

StraightForward, I think it is polite and helpful to fellow bloggers to
leave a short comment on the blog you have read. It DOES help some to get feedback on their blogs and shows them they are being read and their writings appreciated. I like getting comments as well, even if just a "Good job! I liked this one!". -Cent

Lilane, Yes, and this is why some go to great lengths to attract bloggers
by any means to come read their blogs. I use a line from my stories as the "hook" along with the title for the story. I don't like misleading headlines and titles myself. And I rarely use the word "Blogger" in my headline or title. But it does seem to work for some others here. I think if the work is good and interesting eventually one will have more and more readers. I do find it helps to just be patient and persistent, and to spend as much time here blogging away, reading, and commenting on others blogs you enjoy. -Cent

Competition to edge out other bloggers to stay on top doesn't appeal to me.
I think I do like clicks but I would certainly feel a lot nicer if I knew those clicks are coming because people appreciate my writing and are revisiting my blogs. Adn vice-versa as well. i do visit people's blogs again and again when I like them and can also find the time for it.

Lilane, I don't consider myself to be in competition with anyone here.
I don't feel that is what Blogit is about really. I myself try to leave a comment in any blog post I read, even if it is just to let the blogger know I am reading them. Plus I always have an opinion!
