For years I carried around a 1920's variety typewriter...just because it made me feel more like a writer. Someone saw it's relic value and stole it. I upgraded to an electric typewriter which I still have buried somewhere in a closet. ..just in case the computer age crashes and the net turns to that old familiar "snow" . Of course, it would really be great it it developed the color wheel we used to see afte rmidnight on our old tvs! Oh, well, who knows what tomorrow will hold. When I started writing, I didn't even have a concept of a computer that could sit on my desk! Great thought provoking piece, as you can see.

stool if it makes you feel any better. hope you don't hurt your neck and back anymore! i'm actually reclined with my laptop right now, comfy and not a bad idea at all... did you already ask santa for all your presents this year?

Yep. Amazing what happens in this world of marvels, isn't it? Funny, but I was thinking about the huge, heavy old Underwood that I had as an early teen the other day. It was in dreadful shape, needed work, but I taught myself how to type, and figured out how to make it work. Writing in some form or another has been with me all of my life since then.

Poet.
Yes, yes, all the cords, all the buttons, all the voice mails, all the FRUSTRATIONS of the electronics life---Yes, yes! But listen, Poet, take that money you spend on the chiropractor and buy a desk, and an ergonomic chair. It will help you to cope with the electronic age. I 'feel your pain' and it's making me crabby, too.
