Hi
Interesting topic.I think a lot of people are frightened of tomorrow but I wonder how many would be more scared if tomorrow wasn't coming.

Avant-Garde,
I read your posts like poetry, over and over, searching each word for multiple layers of meaning.  Courage is being defenseless...in paradoxes truth often resides.  I believe that, and that overcoming anxiety is simply becoming comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, yet giving myself over to the mystery of the day, and the safety net of God.

This is great....
"as a terror stricken mind conceives that a defense is necessary." Well said!

Courage is standing with truth. To those who oppose the thought system truth espouses, it does appear offensive.

to think less about tomorrow and to concentrate more on today...maybe for a better tomorrow.

If courage is the absence of defense, does that mean it is constituted primarily by offense?  I enjoyed this.

Sounds like opposites on the face of it, but yes, it's thought-provoking
