Everybody just goes so nuts here about snow it's hysterical. You'd think we lived down south and had to contend with hurricanes! We don't know what real trouble is!

Actually, I think the snow is sort of fun, except for the farm and outside animals that I know are suffering through it. The worst part about it is this time of year after a snow, it gets so cold. That's harder to endure than the snow.
I think, too, that the media are largely to blame for getting people whipped into a frenzy. It takes a real bad storm to cause awful problems, but the stations send out these dire reports to pump up the ratings.
At least it's not a real problem to have the public flip out over the snow, and if you can keep a sense of humor about it, it's kind of charming.

Lol! I'm in the mid west too. Actually right smack in the middle of the country. We have a couple of inches of snow as well. No one's ever asked me about my accent but I know I have a mid western twang.
Our weather guys are really good at playing with our minds as well. You'd think that the end of the world was coming or something everytime we get a little bit of snow.

It doesn't snow in my neck of the woods too often...
but when t does everything shuts down! I stay in because no one knows how to drive in the stuff and they are all over the raods. It is insane! Good luck with the tp problem...you got a Sears catalog?
