I agree. I'm finding it difficult to put time aside for writing on blogit now that I'm not here daily. Good to hear you are well.

Offbeats, I see I'm gonna have to send someone around

to tie you down and forbid you buying any more lights.    I've been good, I haven't bought any more so far. Well, not since the last set that look like some sort of berries.

Original,
Sometimes I think more hours in a day would help, but then I know that would only be a way to cram more things into an already full schedule.

It is tough to find enough time during the 24 hours we get.
I find myself getting caught up in so many other things and leaving things go.

HG,
I know that even when you're here, you're not here as you're not writing much. Hope that changes soon.

John,

It was good to prove to myself that I could stay away for a few days and not by force of having to work. It is quite an addiction. Luckily, it's not bad for us.   Well, not unless you start neglecting friends and family.  Maybe after I settle into a writing rhythm, I'll have more time. Merry Christmas to you too.

Malcolm,

I find it impossible sometimes to limit myself. When I go overboard, that's the time I start limiting myself.   I think I'd actually have to be dragged away from here to quit totally.  More than the writing, I enjoy the rapport I have formed here with several people, including yourself. I'll be by to check on what you've been up to in my mini sabbatical.

Thanks Ginnie,

I have enjoyed the time away, busy as it has been.

We all go through these phases, word. I'm not here NEARLY as much as I used to be.

It is nail biting at first when you stop blogging, isn't it?   Then after a few days you go in the huff with bloggers cos they haven't missed you (or posted that they haven't missed you, which is an entirely different thing).  It becomes easier after that, but it still itches like hell.  I think you'll be back.  I don't think a writer as good as you can resist....Merry Christmas, word.smith.  Speak to you later.

Please don't go
because I'd miss your posts. I do know what you mean though - life is so hectic for everyone. However, I look on Blogit and blogging generally as a means of bringing a real need to write and a discipline that I've never had before. I want it not to be an option. If I can achieve that then, if I were ever lucky enough to be in a position where I had more time to write, I would feel more confident about doing so. Why don't you restrict yourself to a certain amount of time each day and stick to it - you might find that more manageable?
