Oh, and by the way, Bud . . .
. . . Any comments on the French and German weaponry and weapons technology found in Iraq, much ot all of it in violation of sanctions calling for Saddam to disarm?

Sorry to burst your bubble, Bud . . .

. . . but links between Saddam's regime and al Qaeda predate the Bush administration, just like the WMD intelligence did. The Bubba administration on at least two occasions alleged connections between them (while - ahem! - doing nothing about either Saddam or al Qaeda. Since the Democrats are so excited about indictments, as evidenced by the DeLay and Libby indictments, they should be especially interested in knowing that one of the two allegations came in an indictment stemming from the al Qaeda attacks on our embassies in Africa. See the story at http://www.washtimes.com/national/20040624-112921-3401r.htm for further discussion.

And, sorry, your citing of American arms in Iraq as refuting the Iraq-al Qaeda connection doesn't work. One has nothing at all to do with the other.

Glenn:
Thanks as always, most entertaining as usual. No one came for your impeachment party for George H. W. Bush because there was nothing to come to. Clark being a "mouthpiece for American imperialism" is hysterical. You'd better go see someone about your imaginary friends who think George W. Bush is a bigger war criminal than Hitler.

Welcome, Gubby!

Glad to have you along for the ride. You may have missed out on earlier commentary, so to address your question about Iraq: The Saddam regime was a proven supporter of terrorism. It gave safe haven to terrorists, (i.e., Abu Abbas), it funded Palestinian suicide bombers, and it most certainly did have connections with al Qaeda. This is not to mentrion terrorizing its own people, such as the gassing of the Khurds, the torture chambers, the suppression of dissent and the rape rooms.

You make an interesting point about terrorists defending their freedom. One little problem, though: Remember the old saying about your freedom to swing your fist ends at my nose? If these people were willing to obey the law - their own and international alike - and become productive members of the world community, then your point would be valid. But when they want to use their freedom to attack and destroy others, within their own country and within others as well, your argument no longer applies. That's like saying repeat sex offenders deserve to be free. It's not the freedom itself, it's what is done with it that makes the difference.

Now, your last question: I most certainly have. But it does not apply here. If you want to turn the other cheek when your loved ones and your country are under attack, you have no honor.

The proof that you are out to lunch is the lies you promote about ties to Al Queda and Saddam's linkes to it. He has countles proven, by photograph, evidence of American arms in his military and by signed agreement, ties with The good old USA including Mr. Rumsfeld, Zeig Heil, than a single encounter with Osama. You idiots think that lies can stand for truth.

WriterofLight,
You nor any of these Bush supporters give a hot about bringing Saddam Hussein to justice! For some strange reason you keep overlooking "real" fact to justify the insanity of invading Iraq! There are a lot more people who believe George bush is a bigger war criminal than Hitler himself! So stop with the whinning about something you have "zero" first-hand knowledge of!

WriterofLight,
Ramsey Clark knows what would be required to get Bush Impeached! He is just another mouthpiece for American Imperialism in "Drag"! Give me a break! And he is about 14 years too late! I called for the Impeachment of Bush I and nobody came!

Will fighting stop terrorism? I mean, all these terrorists saying that they are defending their freedom from the attacks of America. Stupid, but then leaders have this way of brainwashing their people, eh?

Since when was Iraq the source of the terrorism?

And have you ever heard of "turn the other cheek"?
