I have sent a couple of emails
and will send another one in a few days if I don't hear. I imagine my contact at American Greetings is either sick, on vacation, or just swamped with work. I don't want to be too much of a pest.
They are supposed to be reassigning me to a different job under the Americans with Disabilities act. I suppose that process has been delayed because I've been out so long.

Is it poor protocol to send a letter or email to American Greeting cards to ask them if they received your offerings and may you hear from them soon---type of thing? Maybe add an original greeting card type line or two to it having to do with "would like to hear from you" kind of thing? Another Question? Anyway you can apply for another civil service job other than social services and get away from that stressful burn-out profession?
