I don't always comment here, but I often sit in the rafter seats appreciating the "arena" aspect to the exchanges that go on. I'm in the position of not being hard on one side or the other, so I like seeing a good argument lobbed in no matter which direction it comes from. It's so much better when civility (which still allows for heated debate) is observed as it is here most of the time. When the eye-gouging starts, the debate does not advance. The people you've mentioned here all appear to observe those rules and I'm happy to be included.

polluting your comments section yesterday with my vitriol. I should know better. The exercise reminded me of when I was 7 years old and I decided to teach my dog how to talk. Pointless, exasperating and impossible.
