I know it sounds cliche' but it really is true
Personally, I've known many people who were, on the outside, physically va-va-va-voom; then sadly, they open their mouths, and all this ugliness spills out (all over their pretty, little faces). They end up looking hideous!
Likewise, I've known some so-so looking people who; after speaking to them for a short time, they become more and more beautiful.
FYI - I've moved 42 times in my 37 years, so I have met A LOT of both types of people...And combinations of both!
PS - My Blogit name is rr2hsam, my Blog is The Rocky Road to Hedonism ... My name is Samantha Lyons. I'd love to see your reply to the Change and / or Struggle question!

Fiona: I always heard it:
"Beauty is skin deep, but ugly goes clear to the bone." Same thing. And my comment? It seems bizarre and laughable to define something so complex. Just what legalistic thing did I leave out? I am sure to get three whacks from the Beauty-Beasty.
Dances, this is actually way hard. I need to get back to something easier. Novel

"Beauty is only skin-deep, especially if you're ugly"
That's just a tongue in cheek answer from me. Not in the mood to be very intense now. If you want to use it, just call me Fiona.

There are things that we may awe
because of their power, immensity, and all the rest. But beauty is the awe the mind feels when it is released (even if only a little while) from the bondage of itself --because of the curious fascination it feels. And this is so, regardless of the prettiness or ugliness of the object of this fascination.

"Visible beauty can be bought, enhanced and applied, but internal beauty is best left in its natural state."

Dances,
Beauty is an indivual taste and can be defined only by the individual tastes of each person. Tastes vary greatly from person to person and culture to culture. So in reality we are all beautiful to someone.
Also it depends on how much one has had to drink! Hence: "Beauty is in the eye of the beerholder."

Real beauty lies in imperfections....someone who points out your apparent imperfections are usually obsessed with their own.

Define beauty
What makes one beautiful?
True beauty must spill out from what’s inside a person’s heart. Real beauty shines in their face revealing their true nature. God breathed beauty into the souls of my daughters reflected in the glow of their cheeks. Beauty is character revealed.

Dances,
Sorry it's been a while since I've checked in on your blogs! K, so I don't know if you would want to use this, but here's how I would quote it:
"Defining Beauty is an individual explanation. Beauty is perceived from within the unique, personal mind and soul of each being. Beauty does not exist within an object or subject, but is a rapturous sense and one’s most honest impression of pure ecstasy."
