Ya, we know this already. But have you an opinion on what is the basis for these polar opposites in one's personality. I try to get people's opinions as to the root cause of the conservative/liberal split in the first place in my last post in news and politics post. Got any Ideas?

I won't deny that part of it is the quantities that are out there, but as I said I am comparing the winning bid prices on the same items from not even a year ago. They have dropped as I said 60% to 90%. Is the demand down? Are there less people out there bidding? All in all there is just less money being spent on such things, and that can be seen across all areas of sales right now. Having worked at Wal-Mart for eight years, I know what their sales should be like this time of the year and when I went in there today, it was not as is should be to show signs of a healthy economy.

Kooka, never underestimate what accessability has done to ebay prices.
I don't know what you're selling but if its a collectible, especially associated with pop culture, there's just more of that stuff flooding the market now.  Ebay has brought that on.  The only thing that will survive the ebay onslaught of forcing down prices are inherently rare items of inherent value.  I recently lost an auction in the last three minutes on a '65 Gibson Hummingbird guitar.  The price was low but not too far out of line than the item would have brought with a vintage guitar broker.  However I bought an "antique" Spanish broach for my mother for $15.
