Thanks activist,
I don't want to give anyone the impression that we were devastated as bad as the Mississippi Gulf Coast or even the city of New Orleans. We did suffer great damage and loss of income due to the storm. We are going to be fine. I am just a bit concerned that our government, at all levels, did not respond as it should have. We were not prepared for a disaster such as this. Thanks for the read.

Sarooster...
This has been the worst disater in our history and the response from our govt. made it worse.  I have many friends in the Gulf area helping out and my son is going to Mississippi after Christmas.  If it helps I do know that they are many praying for all of trying to rebuild your lives. You are in my prayers. God Bless you and your family.

Thanks kingmi,

I know it will require a massive amount of money to return this area even halfway to it's original state. We have to be smart and not waste money. Given the state of our politicians, from both sides of the aisle, that may be hard to do. Maybe every one can pull together and something good can come out of this. It's great to be back blogging. I look forward to writing and reading again.

sarooster, great hearing from you and glad you are making it through this disaster.  the gulf coast is one of my favorite places in the entire country.  I am totally with you on restoration, I think the whole country is!
