thank GOd for the diverse sets of opinions. Makes life captivating and mysterious, everyone holds a piece in their perspective and its only in the sharing that we really glimpse the whole. But we have to really listen and to let what appears to be the opposition have its voice also.
Indeed I do. We share somethng very special...and its so much more meaningful than fleeting opinions

The comment you are referring too was by the reporter, Christopher Hitchens.
I have never denied that he is a good person. But even goon people make mistakes...the last couple of years Carter has been very wrong........
But that's what makes this such a great country........we get to have a diverse set of opinions.
Thank you for stopping by. You have a pretty good friend there........

Corbin Dallas,
Oh, man, don't get me started. I don't particularly believe all the "Black helicopter" theories of my former friend and roommate, but I do believe in the just application of law. In the court of international opinion, who is the worst offender here: Saddam Hussein who uncovered a plot against his life and acted tyrannically and ruthlessly in squashing that plot or the US government who is now using Saddam Hussein's own torture facilities to hold and interrogate suspects. Have we squandered all the world's sympathies from 2001, in doing the right thing, are we not risking becomig the thugs, bullies, and murderers so rightly despised in Saddam Hussein.
And, in point of fact, what right do we have as a country to depose a national leader and try him for "war crimes:" What national leader is not guilty of war crimes, depending on your perspective.

i came to read you on the recomendation of my friend Offbeats, who I admire, respect and like.
Jimmy Carter was hardly a good President, but he is a good man and I really don't see much reason for ridiculing a man who sincerely believes in peace. Don't we all ultimately want peace and just disagree about how to arrive there ? Pleased to make your aquaintance, and I'll come back and read you again.

Corbin, at least the liberal true anti-American pro tyrant colors are out
And even though many support people like Saddam Hussein and run down America and the American military they still claim they are patriots, but how are they patriots?
Good post. It is mind-boggling to see history unfold as the Dems marginalize themselves without even knowing it, making themselves into a tiny, tiny party. But I'm ok with that. I like America. And I like the unborn, liberty, the ability to keep my own money, to practice my religion without them trying to censor me. I don't like hiding my faith, I like Christmas and I like to say the word out loud without feeling like I'm offending someone.

Mr. Clark is suffering from being around himself for too long. He actually believes his own BS. I do think it is important for the people of Iraq to witness SH trial, and give to him the justice he deserves. As one Iraqi put it, "that justice will be swinging at the end of a rope for all to see!" I sure hope so for them, lethal injection would be too kind for the mass murderer. He has a date with Allah! The sooner the better....
As for R.Clark, he has shown that his priority is in front of the tube, the radio and anyone else who will listen. The old fool needs to just SHUT UP!! Do you suppose he is really that blind, or is he senile?

Mr. Clark, I think, is exemplary of a true American who is concerned about rights.
or don't you understand rights.
would you rather that we get our edicts from the admininstration and everybody just roll over and play dead and we can all relax and not worry any more at all about participatory government?
