I told my wife the other day that it is summer in Australia. The temp outside right now is 27 degrees.

Whoa, avant-garde.....lovely imagery...
The contrasts are quite amazing as you describe fire and ice and the balance that engulfs...

Now

that you mention it - you often see a contrast of the two in animations.

Something firey in the snow.    Snowstorm

avant

thank heaven for the peaceful post, the wisdom of the ages that is unchanging in its glory. I just took my turn in the barrel over on Bud oracle's blog. I found it interesting, stimulating, alive with thought and feeling. But so much conflict and aggression back and forth on the comment page. One thing blogit has taught me is to like and enjoy folks for who they are beyond their religious and political "opinions". DO any of us really know the answers to this mess our country finds itself embroiled in at present? I don't think so...i sure don't have any answers, or any handle on who or what is right.

Yes, in being mutually dependent, they appear separate.

Yes, it captivates me, too. I was a firefighter for four years on a distinguished department. I learned a lot about it.

Avant -

While separate, they are both one. The need for both becomes apparent when one realizes there cannot be one without the other - even though they are one.

Quite a pair, those two, avant-garde.  Always fascinating.  Both draw the attention away from anything else to themselves.   As they are looked upon intently, both send thoughts to deeper things reflecting memories and desires.
