With each year that passes maybe your just missing him more? I know it will never been easy, but when someone wishes you a Happy New Year, they don't know about the death of your Grandpa...they only know they wish you a very Happy New Year!

lovelyladymonk,
As much as it hurts, it's better to hurt, because that means you've loved...and life without love isn't living.

Tomorrow, Dec. 5, is my Dad's birthday. He would have been 82. I lost my Dad in Feb. 1999 due to a medical misdiagnosis. No, I'll never stop hurting because I'll never stop loving him, and you won't stop hurting, either. No one who has not lost a close loved one can understand that you never "get over it".

The terrible beauty of love is the pain that comes with it, and in a way, it makes love more precious.

God bless you and be with you always.

Whacky,

Yes, I know he is...I'll do my best not to cry too much that day, but I can't make any promises....I will smile for him...And for you.

Don't despair...
you know your grandpa is watching over you...don't you? Smile so he can smile.
