This is great symbolism, but I have raised roses, and my goodness, do they require lots of time and care!

I had a prof who held this train of thought.  She used to say that, to truly appreciate the beauty of nature, we must leave it alone.  She focused primarily on our obsession with cut flowers and maintained that we could (and would) appreciate them more if we just left them to flourish in their natural surroundings.  It really stuck with me.  Now I plant flowers everywhere--but never cut any.

I'm gone, but still reading from time to time.  Couldn't pass up commenting on this one...  Excellent post (as usual).

You're right. With a little more discipline, the writers who are serious here can make it happen.

Somehow, I knew this one was for you, as well as other certain bloggers. Roses are special creations, that give over and over to those who nurture and care for them. Thank you.

Let's just stay here and do it together wit Blogit.!!!
Let's just lobby Blogit to dot and give us all including blogit to explode in a Web Fision accident. We could just get together using evryones input and expetise, everyones address books, and everyone's desire to make it happen. Do it like a minuteman cell of entrepreneurship. Christ I can't see the mechanics of it being more than a tweak or two by a nerd. I could write effective copy. We could begin with a Two Buck campaign! Only $2.00 for the first month's entertainment of the world's finest Blogitographers for a whole month! You bet I could line up advertisers to piggy back my message to the world. Many good writers refuse to join such a site as this because income wise it's a time waster and moneywise it's too expensive to read the few good pieces that do come through. So if it's only two bucks to access raw creativetity, fack, if you can't afford that how dare you call yourself a successful writer. I'm only a raw ideas man, those with the talents in the fine details and execution of logistics need to step up now and shoulder the load and of course sghare in the glory and MONEY.!!!!!!!

You're a good salesman. I'm willing to push for this thing to happen. Just let me know what you need. A letter to the head honcho?

You revial the Oracle in your ability to percieve.

Please go, you and everyone run with it! Add you personal intelligent twists to it and let's all stand united on our vvariety of insights and make this friggin thing happen. I believe the only thing that ever stand between a good idea and success is individual ego, and lack of will and vision. This concept in a refined state in this medium of exponential numbers could actually happen at the rate of nuclear fission. I called the idea in a comment to someone Web Fision. Please let's try this thang. I want to make money even if I'm not the most popular writer, at least you'll always find me trying harder. That's how I find the most enjoyment in life. It's not the final success that stimulates me so much, although I could use money to prevent homelessness right now, but the challenges along the way. When I started flying Hang gliders in 1975 we all had the greatests of times learning soaring secrets by sharing a pool of common knowledge happily. WE advanced (several friends of mine actually held the open distance world records, Willi Muller, Randy Haney-I was their to help him on his first high flight) the spot of hang gliding's paramaters, I personally made contributions to that pool of knowlege which helped push the open distance record from 20 miles in 1975 to over 350 miles cross 5 states. When I first started i remember everyone bowling over in ridiculous laughter at me when I claimed that soon we'd be flying hundreds of miles cross country. Boy I can tell you from personal experience that,

"He who laughs last has the very best laugh of all........!!!!!!"

you have no idea how often I stand and study and contemplate my roses in all their stages of beauty. I have allowed them to teach me lessons about the "beauty" of all stages of life, and about blooming and  letting go. I still have roses from my garden on my table at Christmas....we celebrate creation together , the rose and I.

Thanks for comparing us to the beautiful rose (it's my favorite flower).  All kidding aside, wonderful post...as usual.  To use Sannhet's words (in an earlier post)...I'm running out of adjectives to describe your posts.  Most especially liked the part about - "in giving freedom & allowing to live, we've experienced immortality."...ah, such a wonderful thought!
