Thank you Tiel
I think a lot of greeting card writing is just a gift. I usually start with some sort of "jumping off point" and go from there. I've gotten a lot of ideas from song titles. For example I took the song title More Today Than Yesterday and wrote this:

Valentine I love you even more today than I did yesterday

Tomorrow, I go for the record. Happy Valentine's Day.

I believe I have burned out as a caseworker and that's how I became depressed. I joke that my job is very stressful, but on the other hand it does pay quite poorly so it evens out.

whew, i read all the way back thru October 30th where you said you tended to believe others knew what was best for you even tho you know that is not true. I hope you are holding fast to that truth. Others usually mean well and often they have good advice, but the answers are always within, and we hear our own, not others. I read back because I wanted to get the gist of your story and why the Prozac and Wellbutrin. I knew you were depressed but wasn't sure whether there was something else physical causing or contributing to the depression. I certainly hope you are feeling better soon. There has been alot of this on blogit of late. It is good there is a place to share

I can't imagine a more difficult type of writing than greeting cards.  I like to write and I'm OK at it.  I like to write humorous essays and am a trained technical writer, BUT I cannot write a thing at all good when I want to add something to a greeting card I've purchased for someone.  I am as lousy as you can get.  How do you do it?  How DO you continually come up with fresh and original thoughts???  BTW  Did being a case worker burn you out?  I was a social worker for some years.  Had to stop it and do something else.  BURN OUT!
