mysteria--
The obit is beautiful and heart-rending, though rather encyclopedic. What a pity that so many people like Renata are lost to the world. But you know, I am more concerned with what you wrote to the mother. Perhaps you could become friends with that family in some way. They would surely enjoy and appreciate your art and your gentle personality. Take care of yourself.

Mysteria,
Empathy, sympathy and compassion you have in spades. You feel others' pain, this is makes you a gentle soul. I hope as you sit on that bench, if you do, as you feel her passing, her mother's pain, your own spirit is not too overwhelmed. It's good to feel this pain, to be open to life, but not to the detriment of your own health. Take care, dear.

Manic depression is a deadly disease
This post brings back my three year with Carol who was also in this basket. I had met her in her manic phase and wondered who I ended up with only a few short months later. She like Renata was a special person whom I'll never forget. The good die young

What a touching obituary, and what a touching thing you did in response to it. You're magical. Believe it, because it's true.

This was a very good thing for you to do, posting this woman's obituary. It has increased the number of people who will read about her sad life. It was a sad life, but obviously not a futile life. For one thing, she found her way to you and you have obviously derived something from her story. By posting here on Blogit, you may be benefiting someone else who may be needing it. Also, it lets others become aware that this person was alive. It's a little bit like pulling her out of anonymity of death. Those last words by her mother are very moving. But your note to her mother was very tender and it probably made her feel good. I think, very often, you make sounds other good people can hear.

I was painting with my imagination the scenario. I would perhaps sit on the bench with the obit in hand and think about Renata and how my fate and hers share parallels, and how we then go off they do, in way different directions.
