Taffy000, I'm afraid that with me and my husband it was a bit the opposite. When I think back on it, I'm afraid that I'm the one who tried to change my husband into being more like my dad. I think that I tried that for 30 years. It didn't work. When I look back I can see that it would have been so much better if I had just taken him for what he was even though he wasn't perfect.
