Keep your hands out of your eyes. I know it is hard, but that's the only way it can heal.

I like your phraseology. 'Kick in the pants'. That's funny. I've stopped my foot many times here.

That statement was more a generality than to France specifically. You are always welcome, whether you disagree or not.

Like you, I do not tolerate verbal abuse. I've only been subjected to it on one occasion, and I still regret giving in and attacking back.

What I have discovered is that I get what I give to others. And, my mistakes do not become a burden when they happen. I've seen this at work, too. Don't mess with the nurses, and they won't mess with you.

Avant - This is a very good post.
I find blogit to be very valuable as a study aid for intellectual inspiration. I think that some of my better writing was likely initiated by my responses to outrageous posts here. Unfortunately however, there are some here who are indeed “wrong” in what they believe and support. The clearest example would be the pedophile, but there are others. To say “no one is wrong” is to mar and fog over the truth, which is harmful.
There can be no dispute that some are better at uncovering particular truths than others. You may be an excellent mathematician and hence better at determining the truth in mathematical inquiry than someone who has no mathematical education. In such a circumstance, you would err in refraining to stand up, if someone was touting the incorrect approach to something that you knew inherently how to do.
Alternatively, many people are too quick to settle for less than what they are able to become and, believe it or not, sometimes need a good kick in the butt! And clearly, some of us are more passive than others, and hence less apt to confront the slothful. But unless we challenge one another and ourselves to understand that which eludes us, we risk remaining stationary and unproductive.
Am a right fighter? Certainly not by your definition, but definitely by my own. I’ll be standing up for what I know to be right down to my last breath. Just as Rosa Parks held firm in the face of something she knew to be wrong, so we must hold firm in the face of disputes to the simple inherent truths that define righteousness in the world. Thanks for this inspirational post.

you are right
actually all of us seek glory and theres nothing wrong in it,but one should keep in mind that others are also on the same path to glory, the very divinity in all of us makes us seek this glory & so we should respect each and every effort of others & if we dont agree than we should silently move out rather than taking up the situation itself as an opprtunity to glorify ourselves. In your comment on my post you said, it reminds you of the rising kundalini, this itself is such a beautiful thought...and the journey of Golden and that of a soul is very much the same.I'm really amazed at the wonderful heart that you've been blessed with.

I want to thank you for reading, but I am afraid that I will kindly disagree with your point. The Americans have not poked themselves in France's internal affairs. What is happening in France is the result of their sole inefficiencies in administration. Hope you won't be crossed for the contradiction.

you are a kinder soul than I. Do I believe someone is wrong...not usually but there are days I do believe they are rude (insert expletive here). As long as somebody approaches a disagreement with me with a level of reason and respect I am happy to discuss most things but I also won't tolerate verbal assaults.

Maybe we should just have voting pages, like: on a scale of 1 to 10 with one being awful and ten being brilliant, how do you rate this post?

Well said. No one is wrong. Indeed, if I get irritated by something I read on here, I have to stop and silently give permission for this person to be in their space. Then I can choose not to read and not getting hung up on it.

I'm not the right-fighter type of guy. Fighting in any form, has always been my last resort, not first response, so I try to avoid situations and people where I have few options. I'm smart enough to know that I know very little, and what I've accepted as truth could be totally wrong. I don't base my life and self-image on some philosohy or belief system, therefore I don't have some pathological need to justify my existence. Once I finally reached this stage, much of the pettiness, strife, and b.s. amazingly disappeared from my life. I realized it was because such things were the results of my own actions and skewered thinking. By accepting the world (within reason) as it is, warts and all, and not trying to force it to be what I alone think it should be, there's no need to right-fight.

for the time I have been on blogit, I have mostly read and reread you and Ciel. I get frustrated with your writing and mostly only reply when I want you to clear an insight. That ussually does clear up but I get the dust in again to forget and ask again at times.I think wanting to learn has so much value and more worth than acceptance of what you think you know.

I was a "right-fighter" for many years my self. It took a very painful break up and some deep soul searching, reading, meditation and prayer for me to realize I was all Ego and not soul. I've been trying to balance the two ever since.

Again another insightful posting. While it seems many of the people on Blogit are writers or aspiring writers, I am neither. My purpose for being here is to share my knowledge for those who are open, as I do not believe in forcing my beliefs on others. However, it is my hope that regardless of our beliefs we can see that we all have common ground, our belief in God. It seems that many writers are getting critiqued for their writing abilities, I hope people who read my postings are absorbing the information and not checking for my grammar, punctuation and creativity in my writing. You however, have it all! Blessings!
