Thanks for stopping by.......

The fact is here that only 3 of the 201 LIBDems in the House had integrity to vote with the courage of their convictions.....

The all talked tough about needing to pull out.......but only "THREE" stuck to their principles and voted what they believed.

The rest proved.......

They talk the talk....

But they won't walk the walk!

Something, some of us  have contended all along...........

You can only hope that the GOPhers were imploding...........it is your fondest political dream.........LOL

OK, now define the mission ...
and explain the "strategy for defeating the terrorists."

This vote means nothing. Yet another cheap political stunt by a Republican Party imploding from within. 2006 elections are just around the corner. That's the only vote that counts.

surprising that the vote was so lopsided
i would've thought that an issue as complicated as this one would have more adherents on BOTH sides of the debate.  very interesting.

No I don't think anyone was not sincere, they all want a withdrawal but spread out over time, the vote was a put-up or shut-up stunt, but at least they are talking.

Friday's high school senior class president rally in the the halls of congress were both disgusting and a refreshing memory of guts in government. Republicans simply said 'put up or shut up'! Democrats running 'round yelling bring them home right now makes me think of when my daughter was a high school cheer leader and they ran around dising boys with such palaver only because they wanted the attention. We know where the Democrats stand. Riddle: If the president lied about getting the war in Iraq, havent't the Democrats just lied about getting the war outta Iraq? What's that called? Nanny, nanny boo-boo!

Thanks for the heads up on the book....

I've added it to my Christmas list.  (Oops, there's the "C" word)

Jane..

It was an excellent political move.......they wanted a vote, why waste time....let's just vote now, straight up or down...pull em out or leave em there.  Like the World Series of Poker.......Harry Reid couldn't hold his bluff..... I kept wondering how many more letters is Congressman Murtha going to read?

You know in politics.....

You got to know when to hold them,

Know when to fold them,

Know when to walk away........

Know when to run........."

Fine Post, as always!  I was surprised at this outcome and all the votes and it makes me leary of what the next move will be.

It was a bit of a stunt on the Republican side, but I can see why it happened.  With all the bellyaching on the left, the Republicans called their bluff.  I am surprised, though, that it passed with such a whopper of a landslide.

Not likely. The bickering continues and getting combative---like the British Parliament is notorious for. I have a book to recommend: Do As I say, Not as I Do, by Peter Schweizer. Review The Weekly Standard "Peter Schweizer's Do As I Say (Not As I Do) is an entertaining exposure of the hypocrisy among some prominent liberals. In a series of 11 profiles on leftist icons from Noam Chomsky and Al Franken to Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy, Schweizer reveals that the most vocal liberals do not practice what they preach."

I agree - I hope these people put aside their partisan differences and solve some problems for a change.

Scoop...
Are you saying the LIBDems were insincere with their votes?

This did not surprise me, it was more a stunt
no one wants a complete withdrawal but there must be an orderly exit when the time comes. It looks like the Pentagon has something brewing.
