The Deliberate...
...confusing of the "war on terror" and the occupation is, as you say, typical. We've seen Saddam linked with al-Qaeda (false), with 9/11 (false), with WMDs (true in 1991, false in 2003) and so on.
It's disinformation at it's worst.
