That seems like it would be difficult, switching back and forth, between fiction and newspaper and opinion, etc. I don't know HOW you keep your thoughts or tones straight!

Mayb,
I have a journalist friend who once said he needed to write like a cow needs to be milked. Not a pretty image, but it kind of sums up the urgency. I'm still in right-brain mode, it sounds you're getting a lot of productive writing done. That must feel good, even if you are temporarily drained and tapped out.

Get some rest, MayB.
You'll need it to heal and work through your burn out.
God's blessings.

Yeah right. You're watching Jeopardy instead of posting.

Sorry you reached burnout!
I am sure it is diffcult working out the truth in property.
Hope you get better quickly. I have been unable to post and comment too because of end of year work pressures - but - hey like you the weekend comes and at least there is some space for it.
Hope things work out,
Jo

It becomes less worrying when you know what the problem is. Then there is a hope of curing it

I get that way, too. Too much of anything leads to burnout.

Better make sure you get some rest in amongst all the writing. We don't want you dropping dead of exhaustion!

Good idea to rest the story. I always do that. Fresh eyes always see new things. Good lines are gems, yes. If I hear them or read them, I write them down in my Moleskine, dated and sourced. Like 'wee small hours' - you didn't intend it, but those small hours are often 'wee' if you've had too much wine.
Time for a rest for MayB as well methinks. |
