I figured this would stir up some interest!

Jane, thanks as always.

Corbin, thanks for the links.

Glenn, thanks for the update from Planet Glenn. When you stop and think about it,  you are paying me because of how blogit works, thanks very much. Glad to return the favor. Excellent insight into the free market, it is indeed in the power of the customer to make businesses go away if their products are found unsatisfactory. Hence the declining audience for the former mainstream media.

The LIBDems plans are backfiring........

Harris Poll: How Would You Rate the Job Of......

• President Bush: 34% Positive, 65% Negative
• GOP in Congress: 27% Positive, 69% Negative
• Dems in Congress: 25% Positive, 70% Negative

Thanks, Scoop and Corbin!

Scoop, I've taken on poll samplings elsewhere. Hardly all Democrats, but from what I've seen disproportionately few Republicans. Thank you for your service, sir, but if I may offer an observation on your comparing Iraq to Vietnam:  It seems to me that all we are hearing about is failure, terror attacks, deaths and mayhem because that's all the popular news media wants us to hear about. I posted a lengthy story on the successes in Sadr City on the Why We Fight blog at http://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/WriterofLight8744/.

Corbin, you are unfortunately right about Bubba and Shrillary.

Earlier tonight..

I heard a discussion regarding Bill's actions.  It goes straight to the heart of a pragmatic political plan.

Bill is moving and speaking to the left.  Because they love him.....his rabble-rousing keeps them happy and the checks coming to Hillary's not-a-campaign yet coffers from the elitist Hollywood and Media crowd.

Hillary on the other hand has been consistently more of a hawk.  Maintaining her image as being more of a centrist, drawing the middle segment of the electorate that has been influenced  by the  recent Dem attacks and multiple natural disasters.  A balanced strategy........

Sounds like a good novel.....but we're dealing with probably the most politically savvy couple in the country

So the 64% disapproval rating is all democrats.............. get real

stop drinking the koolaid. You really think that with al-zarqawi in 40 different countries, we are going to win in Iraq?

In Vietnam we would fight for one week to capture Hill #so and so and then move on to village B and then to the Valley of Shit and then over to Hill #00 and then take the village of Turd etc etc and when we left the gooks moved back in it is the same in Iraq.

The troops in Iraq fought like hell last year in Fallujah now the enemy has returned, so they go back and then to Tikrit, and then Mosul and after 2 1/2 years even Bahgdad is a shit hole and not safe. This is a game for the insurgents they will just keep coming and coming as Al-zarqawi just keeps building up his 24 terrorist groups, there are no winners deal with it.
