One of my favorite poems...

This poem always served me well. Your writings have reminded me of it.

I had a dream where I was floating above a beautiful, serene beach.  I realized that God was floating alongside me.  He pointed towards the sand on the beach, and I noticed the footprints: sometimes one set, sometimes two sets.  I understood that this beach represented my life.

"God," I asked, "if this is my life, my paths, why are there two sets of footprints?"

God responded, "My Child, the two sets of footprints mean that as you have traveled through your life, I have always been there beside you, accompanying you on your journey."

"Then God," I again questioned in anger, "why is there only one set of footprints in some places?

God smiled at me, and said, "My Child, you see and yet do not see.  The places where you see one set of footprints, the most difficult times in your life, those are the times when I have carried you."

Later on that night, when God was asleep,  I crept into His room and checked out His sandals.  A size 10 1/2, just like I thought.  Lying motherfucker.

sannhet - thanx - I'm convinced that when one looks around the globe,
organized religion and the lengths that it's adherants will go to prove themselves right, can be nothing more than one big comedy.

Loved it! I always new that God and Jesus and the others have a hell of a sense of humor.

Xeno-x - it's just a matter of time
there is no shortage of fundies, more will appear through the Blogit revolving door eventually.

where have all the fundies gone, long time passing
is their absence ominous?
has it happened already?
is this it?

Gomedome

Dead? Dead, you say???

Dead, while my blog is filled with fascinatins, illuminating, challenging, humorous, moving, uplifting posts, just waiting for you to trawl thro' them?

By gad, sir, I've mind to call you out! Indeed, my seconds shall call upon you this very night, sir!

Shall it be swords, or pistols, my good man?

Xeno-x - as I mentioned yesterday -- it's been dead around here lately
..but I've seen this all before. The current blogging crowd gets tired of reading the same old themes with the same old message, so things die for awhile. As the revolving door of Blogit subscription replenishes the readers a new God squad makes their appearance and interest picks up again. It's just a down cycle.
