A beautiful post, LovelyLadyMonk. I think that people give more to others this time of year because Thanksgiving and Christmas both remind us of the blessings in our lives and it makes us think more about those who are worse off and having less to be thankful for. It makes us want others to be blessed also and we have a desire to share and be a part of that.
